Description
The BC Center of Disease Control collects and provides immunization data, specifically regarding instances of COVID-19 vaccination in British Columbia. Data is collected through CareConnect, an Electronic Health Record used by six Health Authorities and select community groups within British Columbia. The COVID-19 Immunization Dataset includes information such as type of vaccine, vaccination frequency, vaccine location, reason for immunization, and mixing on vaccines, excluding clients in the First Nations Health Authority (FNHA).

- Inclusions
- Only data inside the Provincial Immunization Registry (PIR) is included
- Includes Adverse Events Following Immunization (AEFIs) for COVID-19 Immunizations
- Includes Special Population Immunizations for COVID-19 with information on their risk factors:
- Yukon Forecast Enabled
- Includes forecasts for COVID-19 agents only
- Exclusions
- Excludes deleted records in PIR
- Indigenous clients are not included in Population Data BC's provision
- Both client Demographics and Immunizations data set:
- Excludes inactive clients because of "Adopted/Created in Error/Duplicate Client Record/Returned to Birth Parent"

- COVID-19 Immunization data is entered by medical professionals into the CareConnect Electronic Health Record
- Displays the ACTIVE record with the latest effective-from date. If tied, then latest created_on_date
- Aggregate measures act on the dimension chosen
- E.g. if the Client Health Region HSDA is chosen as the dimension then clients will be counted for each HSDA
- If any AEFI field is selected, then the result set becomes restricted to AEFI-associated information only
- E.g. if both AEFI, client and immunization fields are selected, then the result will NOT show clients or imms without AEFIs
