Researchers are now able to access detailed project status information online via PopData’s new project management system, AppTracker.
“We are delighted to be able to offer this service to researchers,“ said Kelly Sanderson, Data Access Unit Manager. “Project team members will now be able to check the status of their project, view data retention and ethics expiry dates, and view data extraction information.”
AppTracker is available through the my.popdata website, a central hub for self-service access to project applications and metadata. The launch of AppTracker follows last year’s introduction of MetaData Central, an online data documentation system for the Research and Data Steward communities.
PopData plans to continue to expand the range of services on my.popdata to better serve researchers and Data Stewards. An online data application process is currently in development and slated to be launched later this year.
