The data that Population Data BC (PopData) holds includes individual-level information, the majority of which are for approved research purposes. The strict protection of this information is critical for the continued operations of PopData. The tenets of individual privacy and data protection are embedded in all aspects of operations, and include physical, technical and procedural measures.

PopData's privacy mandate is to meet and exceed all relevant legal, ethical and legislative guidelines for data protection and privacy.
